Mid 19th century, Northwestern Iran. Traditional abundant Herati designs within and surrounding multiple arched enclosures. Pale strawberry, lichen, citron, leaf, and taupe all on a charcoal ground. Fine and skillful slit tapestry work. Very thin and limber.
