Antique Hooked Rug
$1,800
1930's, New England, United States. Elementary depiction of the Statue of Liberty. Worked in the traditional method using wool scraps on a burlap ground. Radiating from the Mother of Exiles’ torch is color. Warm gold and rainbows expand and radiate through the gaps of seemingly immovable blockades. Soft palette dominated by weathered tones of blue-grey, stone, slate, and denim. Expected signs of wear and age, slight fraying at the corners and some overall discoloration. Due to its fragility, this piece is most suitable for the wall. Please inquire for display.
