Antique Afshar 4'10" x 6'

c. 1890 - 1900, Northeast Iran. Spare and centrally focused composition. Single stepped medallion hangs on deep navy ground. Various parimeters protect a leaf like symbol - it's venation echoed in the four corners. Warm faun, saddle, and blush tones. Short wool pile on stiff ground. Some sporadic wear and occasional warping.
