Antique Log Cabin Wall Hanging

c. 1890, United States. Log cabin quilt in the traditional “Barn Raising” motif radiating outward from a central diamond in a structured, architectural rhythm. A refined monochrome palette of sea foam brocade and moss echo the two face fabrics: cotton brocade twill. Backed in warm brown floral calico cotton, a quiet, domestic counterpoint to the graphic precision of the front. An original hanging sleeve remains intact, allowing for straightforward wall display.
