Antique Amish Quilt - 69" x 77"

c. 1940 - 1950, Ohio, United States. Signed 'Ethel.' Solid and optically pleasing Streak of Lightening or Brickwork piece pattern in asymmetric boundary. Handsome and deep duet of sienna, obsidian with plum, and indigo highlights. Cotton muslin, wool flannel, and various twills. Neat diagonal quilting and french fold binding. Medium density weight - substantial, but not too heavy. Scattered naive repairs throughout. Small pin holes too, but doesn't inhibit the composition.
