Antique Boutonné Coverlet - 70" x 89"

c. 1920-1930's, Quebec, Canada. Woven for the summer resort, La Malbaine, formerly Murray Bay. Winged eight pointed star surrounded by a perimeter of petite trees and diamonds. Thin homespun cream ground with lifted boutonné patterns in sky blue. Soft lightweight wool. Whole and stable condition with two small 1" areas of careful color matched darning. One pale line of color fading from folded storage.
