Small Stockings Round
c. 1930–1940, United States. Finely crocheted concentric ovals in a muted earthen palette — clay, soot, sage, sand, and rose ash. Made with remarkable care and precision entirely from recycled silk and nylon remnants, likely stockings. The surface has a soft, supple hand with a quiet sheen. Lightweight and flexible, with just the right drape for tabletop or wall display. Subtle irregularities in tone suggest sun fading. Otherwise lovely condition.
